On 23 march 2020, Mr. Emmanuel Essissima, the President of African Kickboxing Confederation announced postponement of African Championships 2020 because of COVID-19.
In his communication, President Emmanuel Essissima informed the national Kickboxing Federation members of African Kickboxing Confederation that the following factors have been taken into consideration even if the situation was judged to be under control in Cameroon and according to WHO recommendations,
– the crisis has not stabilized in Africa;
– it is very difficult to prevent its development in the coming days.
– and traveling across the continent becomes more and more complicated if not impossible for
certain countries due to the restrictions put in place.
