The competition took place at Yaounde the capital city of Cameroon with presentation of 5 nations (Cameroon, Egypte, Mail, Central Africa Republic and Guinée équatoriale),
8 other countries including Morroco, Gabon were obliged to withdrawal their participation because of recent travel restriction in their countries.
Mr Emmanuel Essissima, President of African Kickboxing Confederation and President of Cameroon Kickboxing Federation declared : Unfortunately we had 8 countries cancelation but we were obliged to maintain the dates as there were some confirmation. We knew that COVID 19 may would have an impact on our event, however after discussion with our members we decided to maintain the dates of our event and with our experience we made of the event a successful and memorial event.
The President Essissima added: I would like on behalf of Africa. kickbowinh Confederation to thanks all participants and people who contribute to the success of our event, in particular Mr Nasser Nassiri, The President of Asian Kickboxing Confederation and long friend of Africa who travelled to Yaounde to assit us.
Mr Emmanuel Essissima also thanks the sport Ministry and national olympic committee of Cameroon and Association of African Sports Confederation (AASC) known also as Union des Confederations Sportives Africaines (UCSA) for their support.
